PEDESTRIAN CROSSING HELPERS NEEDED!!
Kia ora Parents & Caregivers
We are desperately seeking parents to help supervise our Pedestrian Crossing. We are wanting Parents to become part of a roster to man the pedestrian crossing after school? It would alleviate the pressure on staff and a very caring parent, who is there every school day! If you are interested please let the office know or see our dedicated road Patrols after school.

SEEKING COMMUNITY ROLE MODELS
We want to invite members of the public into our kura to offer positive feedback for Senior Students (Year 11-13) to help raise their aspirations for the future and talk to them for
20-30 minutes.
Our ambition, as Senior Management and Board Trustees, is to increase the number of students that are seeking University places given the growing importance of further education. Our Trade courses (Gateway) are important pathways for students but we would also like to see more students staying at school and achieving their Level 3 and UE course qualifications to enable further University Graduate and Postgraduate degrees.
If you think you can and want to help, below is an outline that will enable our students will benefit from hearing about:
- Your experiences of applying into university
- What were the benefits of attending University?
- What challenges did you experience when undergoing further education/training?
- Describe the transition (positives/negatives) from school to further training/work
- How did your ability to further your education affect your family? Were you anxious about stepping away from home?
- If you were to go back to school now, what advice would you give yourself?
- How did you prepare for interviews? Please feel free to share a significant memory (positive or negative)
- Was there any temptation to not further your education/training and go straight into work? Please explain why you did not do this or delayed this next step.
- What did you enjoy about your time in this training?

TECHNOLOGY CLASS
In technology class students are seeking feedback about futuristic product ideas. It is a good way of improving the active communication with whanau about their child’s learning. Please give our students a couple minutes of your time to fill out their questioners.

WHAT ARE ATTENDANCE DUES?
The Ministry of Education does not fund building related costs at our School. Attendance Dues are only used to pay for building related costs. They can not be used for any other purposes. Paying Attendance Dues is a condition of enrolment for all students attending our School. Attendance Dues are compulsory – there is a legal requirement for parents and caregivers to pay Attendance Dues under the Education and Training Act 2020. They are not a donation.
