THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE
Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper and be satisfied.

PRINCIPAL’S NOTICE
Tena koutou whanau ma – warm greetings to everyone.
As we draw near to the end of the term we can look forward to meeting you at our Parent / Teacher interviews. We will hold these on Tuesday the 2nd of July from 1:30pm to 6:00pm.
This year we are using the new communications app to make it easier for you to schedule an interview. For whanau who don’t have access to the app we are asking that you just phone in and talk with Joni or Psalm and they will schedule the appointments for you. Shortly Joni will open the “Bookings” tile in the app and you will see it is fairly straight forward to choose the teacher and appointment times you would like.
I would like to discuss the cell phone policy with you because although we started well in meeting the policy requirements, I have noticed some ‘slippage’ and we have had to confiscate a number of phones over the last two weeks. Please remember that the Government policy is ‘phones away for the day’ and that we are required to meet these expectations. Our process for students needs to support them to keep the phones away for the day – a number of students need to have their phone for after-school contact with whanau or employers. We ask that they hand their phones in to the office in the morning when they get to school and then collect them at the end of the day. Thank you whanau.
Thank you to everyone who is supporting us to improve student attendance – your support is vital to help us have high rates of student attendance which is so necessary for them to experience success at school.
We are looking forward to our Local Histories excursions in the last week of the term as we seek to celebrate our Lord’s Creation at this Matariki season. The end of the event includes a Hangi here at school on Thursday for all of our students.
John :1 – 5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life,[a] and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Blessings to all
David Rogers
