THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE

When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.

Proverbs 10:19

Principles Notice

Tena koutou whanau ma – warm greetings to everyone.

ROAD SAFETY!

Please whanau, we need your help to keep our students safe at the end of the day as they get to the buses and cross the road to meet whanau who have come to pick them up at the end of the day. This is a busy and dangerous time and there have been several “near miss” incidents with children being called across the road by other whanau members.

Please remember to use the pedestrian crossing and keep our young ones safe.

Nga mihi mahana

Outreach kaupapa
Tena koutou te Whanau o KCS
Our senior akonga are starting an outreach kaupapa in our kura as a way of reaching out and serving in our community for Jesus. There is so much need in our area for practical help with resources etc. We are asking if any whanau in our school community have any EXCESS ITEMS laying around at home, bring them into school and we will distribute out to people in need. Matua Monte Tito serves every day by giving out the left over lunches from all the schools in Kaikohe. He collects homewares from many sources and helps whanau who are moving into houses or starting over. We must show the Love of the Father and be a light in our communities. Below is a list of examples of gear that could be a blessing to others;
Household wares eg, couches, drawers, beds etc
clothes, shoes
furniture
food items
toiletries, hygiene items
We will also be going back to the old peoples home in Kaikohe to serve our kaumatua and kuia. We will send out more details about this kaupapa soon.
We greatly appreciate your koha in advance.

Communication and Confidence course
Over the past three days our senior students have earned 13x credits during the Communications and Confidence course. Each of them working in teams to create a commercial, a three minute speech and a five minute presentation. Some were nervous but they showed so much courage, and every single one of them performed exceptionally well.
