Year 10 English
Year 10 English covers a range of skills derived from Level 5 of the New Zealand Curriculum. The aim of this course is to help students to develop their critical thinking and prepare them for being successful in NCEA. As a Christian School we find it important to include texts and studies that help to develop Christian character, because of this most of our studies have a Biblical foundation.
NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3 English
Level 1, 2 and 3 English at KCS look at working towards achievement standards across Level 6, 7 and 8 of the New Zealand Curriculum. To Pass, students work towards attaining 17 credits at Level 1, 2 and 3 made of Internally and Externally assessed standards.
