Ngā mihi nui ki te whānau whānui o Te Taitokerau kei raro i te korowai o Ihu Karaiti. Warm greetings to our whānau, students, and the wider Mid-North community under the cloak of Jesus Christ.

At Kaikohe Christian School, we are more than just a place of learning; we are a community united by a shared journey. Our core purpose is clear: to equip this generation to transform the world through the power of the Gospel. This is not just a vision statement on a wall—it is the heartbeat of everything we do, from the playground to the classroom.

As a composite school serving Year 1 through Year 13, we have the unique privilege of walking alongside our tamariki and rangatahi as they grow from their first steps in foundational learning to their final steps as Godly leaders ready to serve their communities.

We teach the New Zealand curriculum through the lens of Christ, ensuring that our students are not only literate and numerate but also grounded in the Fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, and faithfulness.

Our success as a school relies on the three-cord strand: the unity of the Family, the School, and the Church. When we work together in this partnership, we create an environment where every student can recognise their unique value as someone created in the image of God.

“Mā te whakapono, ka taea ngā mea katoa.” (Through faith, all things are possible.)

I encourage all our tauira (students) to pursue excellence this year—not just for themselves, but to honour the gifts God has given them. Whether you are engaging in Te Ao Haka, exploring the sciences, or serving in leadership, remember that you are equipped to transform the world through the power of the Gospel.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our kura. May we continue to grow together in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.

Ngā mihi mahana / Blessings to all,
