Regular attendance is essential for student learning and achievement. Research shows that students who are frequently absent are at significant risk of falling behind. We encourage excellent attendance and appreciate your support in ensuring your child arrives at school each day, on time and ready to learn.

If your child is sick, arriving late, or absent for another reason, please report this using the form above or by contacting the school office directly.

If an absence has not been reported, please send a note with your child explaining the reason when they return to school.

Absence Due to Other Events

New Zealand law requires children to attend school regularly. The Principal may grant an exemption of up to five days for special circumstances.

If your child needs to be absent for reasons other than illness, please contact the Principal directly rather than the classroom teacher.
